Life and studies:


Rolanda began studying violin at the age of five, in the violin class of expert Nijolė Prascevičienė, at the Šiauliai First Music School. She continued her distance learning studies at the MKČiurlionis Arts Gymnasium in the violin class of Dainius Puodžiukas. In 2010, she received an invitation to study in the violin class of one of the world's most famous teachers, Prof. Zakhar Bron, at the Cologne University of Music and Dance. In 2015, Rolanda was awarded a scholarship to study at the Queen Sofia Royal University in Madrid. In 2018, she completed her bachelor's studies with the best student diploma and a prize for achievements awarded by Queen Sofia. In 2021, she defended her master's degree.


Achievements:


Rolanda began her musical career very early – she started playing the violin at the age of five, and at the age of seven she made her debut as a soloist with the Šiauliai Chamber Orchestra and won the international Kocian competition in the Czech Republic. Since then, Rolanda has become a laureate and first prize winner of many republican and international competitions. Among them, in Lithuania she became the first prize winner of the B.Dvarionas, S.Sondeckis, J.Urba competitions. Abroad, she became a prize winner of the 3rd A. Glazunov competition, the 7th International competition in Novosibirsk, the K.Lipinski and H. Wieniawski competitions, the winner of the "Pedro Bote", the prestigious competition "Melomano" in Spain, and the first prize winner of the violin discipline of the 28th World Music Competition. Rolanda was awarded the Queen Martha and Queen Sofia of Spain Prizes, the Special Prize of the Albeniz Foundation, the Mstislav Rostropovich Foundation Scholarship, the Educational Scholarship of the Republic of Lithuania, the Appreciation of President V. Adamkus, the Special Prize of the Speaker of the Seimas I. Degutienė, and a letter of appreciation from the Mayor of Vilnius City Municipality A. Zuokas, for the dissemination of Lithuanian culture and the promotion of the name of Lithuania.


Concert activities:


Rolanda participated in international master classes with famous soloists and teachers: Z.Bron, M.Fried, C. Poppen, N. Prishepenko, M. Fuks, I. Petrushevski, E.Tedavosyan, etc.


As a soloist, she has participated in famous world festivals, including the Interlaken Classics Festival in Switzerland, the Vladimir Spivakov Festival, the Ubeda International Music and Dance Festival, the Segovia Festival, and the Cadiz Spanish Music Festival, among others.


The violinist has performed in many European countries and made her debut as a soloist in some of the world's most famous halls: the Berlin Philharmonic, the Cologne Philharmonic, the Alte Oper in Frankfurt, the De Doelen Hall in Rotterdam, the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona, ​​the Auditorio Nacional de España, the Teatro Monumental in Madrid, and the Kursaal Interlaken in Switzerland, among others.


Rolanda has given recitals in Switzerland, Germany, Spain, and Lithuania. Her concert with the Spanish Radio and Television Orchestra was broadcast live by the Spanish National Radio and Television, and she also performed the Partita for solo violin by Lithuanian composer V. Barkauskas. In Lithuania, her recital at the "Sugrąžimų" festival was recorded by the Lithuanian National Radio. Rolanda represented Lithuania with a work by B. Dvarionas at the European Culture Days, at the Alte Oper in Frankfurt. She also performed a recital in the cycle "XXIa. Soloists" at the Sony Hall in Madrid.


As a soloist, she has performed with the Spanish Radio and Television Orchestra (RTVE), the Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra and Choir, the Oviedo Filarmonía Symphony Orchestra, the Extremadura Symphony Orchestra, the Franz Schubert Filarmonía Symphony Orchestra, the Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, the Moscow Chamber Orchestra, the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, the Kaunas Symphony Orchestra, the St. Christopher Orchestra, and the Zakhar Bron Chamber Orchestra, among others.


In 2018, composer David del Puerto's work "Por las Arboledas del Tamarit" was written and dedicated to Rolanda. Rolanda performed its world premiere at the Alicante Auditorium, Spain.


In addition to her solo career, the violinist also devotes a lot of time to chamber music. Rolanda and her piano quartet won the AIE Performers Association competition with a concert tour throughout Spain. Rolanda is the founder and performer of the piano trio Glinka and the duo Ginkute-Gladkov, with whom she actively performs. In 2022, the duo Ginkute-Gladkov recorded their album for Spanish Radio and the Orpheus Foundation.


In 2019, Rolanda became a lecturer at the Glinka Lyceum and regularly teaches master classes in Segovia, Spain. Since 2023, she has been teaching summer master classes at the Royal University of Queen Sofia. In 2024, she began teaching at the Violin Department of the Qatar Academy of Music.


Orchestra:


Rolanda is regularly invited to play in the concertmaster, soloist, or tutti positions in professional orchestras.


In the 2018-2020 season, she was a member and concertmaster of the Adda Simfonica Symphony Orchestra. In the 2019-2024 season, Rolanda was a member of the Spanish National Orchestra (ONE).


Starting in the 2024 season, she won a competition for the position of soloist in the second violin group of the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra.


Among her most notable recent collaborations have been guest concertmaster positions with the National Orchestra of Spain, the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra, the Asturias Symphony Orchestra, the Oviedo Philharmonic, the Extremadura Symphony Orchestra, the Granada Symphony Orchestra, the Franz Schubert Philharmonic, the Anne-Sophie Mutter Project Orchestra and the Freixenet Symphony Orchestra. She has also worked with the Palau de les Arts Orchestra, the Madrid Symphony Orchestra, the Comunidad de Madrid Orchestra, the Hulencourt Symphony Orchestra and the Clásica Santa Cecilia Orchestra.


Since 2014, she has been a member of the Zakhar Bron Chamber Orchestra in Switzerland, with which she performs on prestigious European stages alongside world-renowned soloists such as Lang Lang, Maxim Vengerov, Vadim Repin, Misha Maisky, David Geringas, and others.


Rolanda has had the honor of collaborating with renowned conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Sir András Schiff, David Afkham, Andrés Orozco-Estrada, Saulius Sondeckis, Juanjo Mena, Jaime Martín, Pablo González, Pablo Heras-Casado, and others.
